    Maintenance is all finished - and I have added quite a few new features.

    I`m sure you`ve all noticed the new comment input box. It`s one of the largest of the changes. Now you can format your text to your heart`s content. You can also show inline images in your posts. Example below - just a random shot of my son. To add an inline image, click the little picture-box in the menu. It`s just left of the smiley face at the end on the top row - and fill out the little box. The only information you need to insert is the URL. The rest will be taken care of automatically.

    Another big feature change is that you can now upload pictures to this site for hosting. The pictures have to be less than 512k in size, but that should be plenty for the average image file. Also, please don`t worry about taking up space - I have a ton of free space and bandwidth. To do this, click the Browse button just below the comment box, and choose your file. When you post the message, the file will be uploaded. As an example, I have attached another picture of my son (because that`s all I have on hand.) If the attached file is an image, it will be automatically displayed at the bottom of your post (as the second picture in this one is.)

    There are also some less obvious changes. You can now choose to be notified when someone has posted a whisper to you. You can turn this option on under the Account settings.

    Hello, members! 

    You might have noticed that I've changed the title of this forum and deleted two categories.  The discussions in those two deleted categories were moved to a different category titled, "Mrs. Stylebook."  The categories now available to all members are the following.

    • Mrs. Stylebook
    • Japanese Sewing
    • News

    The category "Japanese Sewing" is for discussions regarding other Japanese sewing pattern magazines like Female, Lady Boutique, and pattern books by Japanese designers like Machiko Kayaki, Natsuno Hiraiwa, Sato Watanabe, etc.

    I changed the title just as a little reminder that we are still open to renaming the forum.  If you have any suggestions to a new name, please respond to this discussion.

    Hi, I'm new here, so probably doing it all wrong! I just tried to add a picture as an attachment, using the box at the bottom of the box you write comments in. I got the message that the requested file (jpg) wasn't allowed; in the end I added the url using the http button, which brings up the image on flickr. its stored on flickr and on my desktop at the moment btw. my image was just a photocopy of part of Pattern Magic 2. What's attachments for?

    Petro,

    I don't use the "Attachments"  below the message box.  The only thing I could think of why your photocopy didn't upload was that the file was too big.  The file size has to be less than 512K.  If your picture/photocopy is bigger than that, you may have to link to it using either the http or image (the button with the tree) commands.
